Katherine Heigl has opened up about growing up within "a White bubble." She also shares the impact that this realization has had on the parenting style of her adopted children that are multiracial. In an interview, actress Katherine Heigl, who plays "Firefly Lane" actress, along with "Grey's Anatomy" actress admitted her body didn't matter to her. However, when speaking to her adopted sister from South Korea about how society treated them, she became aware of how much different they were. "I asked my sister, Meg to tell me if she'd been treated one way when she went going out with us parents and a different way when she was out by herself without them. Meg responded "Oh I do, each and every time!" Heigl said to her parents: "That was when I realized that my naivety had caused me to feel." According to the actress, she grew angered. But, she was determined to channel her anger into helping her adopted girls. Heigl, who has been married to Josh Kelley for 13 years, have a son, Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. The couple adopted their daughters Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide eight who is Black, in 2012.
