Jenna Fischer was best known for her role as Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on television. The role she played earned her an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress category and she also won two SAG Awards, both for extraordinary performances on the cast of a comedy.
Jenna was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, however, she grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna saw her mother, Anne, perform in the church when she was younger that instilled a passion of theater and performance.
She is a trained actress who was back in theater following The Office. She was a part of Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway play Reasons for Being Happy. Following her appearance in Steve Martin's latest play Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy with Greg Germann & Josh Stamberg), she performed in the Old Globe Theatre's record-breaking world premiere.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer created Office Ladies, a podcast that airs on Earwolf in October 2019. The podcast has proven to be a huge success, reaching in the Top Ten worldwide every week with more than 200 million downloads during the first two years. Office Ladies, which was first launched in October of 2019, won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Month award in January 2021.
She is the writer of The Actor's Life An Actor's Survival Guide (coauthored with Angela Kinsey), in which her tale of relocating between St. Louis to Hollywood as a professional actress is narrated. The Office BFF's : Stories of The Office by Two Best Friends that Were There is also a memoir of Angela Kinsey and herself, and their friendship while working on The Office.
